Prepare for your procedure by wearing no makeup on the area to be worked on, and no contacts for eyeliner procedures. Refrain from any alcoholic beverages the day of, and day prior to your procedures.
In Washington (and most states) the fact is that there is currently no regulating board governing tattooing (permanent cosmetics, micropicmentation, etc.) This means that ANYONE can pick up a tattoo machine, read a book and/or buy a video and advertise themselves to do permanent cosmetics!
I caution inquiries to look at the office where services are offered and check for cleanliness and OSHA compliance, are the listed prices cheap? (a sure red flag), and ask to see professional certificates of training as well certification in Bloodborne Pathogen Training. Ask how many hours of training your proscpective technitian has had (the answer should be at least 60, but preferably 100 hrs.) You also want to know if they worked on several live models during their training.
I am confident I received my training from one of the most highly regarded trainers in the industry. She is currently working diligently with State Legislatures and the Health Department to create laws governing the profession. I share her dedication to providing the safest, most professional environment in the realm of permanent cosmetics.
I look forward to a consultation with you and assisting you in obtaining a carefree future with naturally enhancing permanent cosmetics!
Warmly~
Kristine
